I am passionate about…
Looking Towards the Future.
My main medium for achieving the above these days is through my photo restoration work and educating others on the subjects of photography and photo preservation. My work is not limited to old, damaged photos. I adore turning other people’s snapshots into treasures with selective cropping and correcting of colors, exposure and the seemingly endless number of tools available to digital artists these days. Prior to my work in the digital world, I was a sought-after photographer for more than 20 years within the music industry primarily. When my career began in California I quickly became known for my ability to capture the moment and feeling of my subjects, who were primarily musicians. A short list of clients included The Moody Blues, Jefferson Starship, Al Jarreau, and the California Symphony with whom I was the principle photographer for several years until relocating to Kona in 1998. Living in these beautiful islands, I soon realized that there were many other “stars” in the islands to capture – those being Hawai’i’s magnificent botanicals. I have also become passionate about using particular talents as a springboard for a new medium – digital art.
Please take a look at my website, www.LilikoiArts.com so you too can get a feel for my work. A hui ho!
